This blog will follow our family's journey with CDH. Our second child was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia at a routine ultrasound around 17.5 weeks. I started this blog to not only document our journey, but hopefully help those that may have to go through this same journey in the future.
How lucky am I to be your friend and to witness such a miracle. It's situations like this that put everything else into perspective. I can't wait to meeet this very special baby of yours. I am so glad you finally got to hold him. Happy early Mother's Day!! Great job on the video...I really enjoyed it. My pregnancy hormones are now on high alert. ;)
What a picture Janna. I am so happy for you. I know little Garrett was feeling your love. There's nothing like a mother's love to make everything better. It's even better than a DQ chili cheese dog! I love you all. Kimmy
Janna, you did an amazing job on this video and thank you so much for sharing it - can't express how glad I am for you both that you were able to hold him...(can't write more because I have to show it to Brad)
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us all. He is beautiful and I am so glad he is doing well. Congrats on finally getting to hold him. It must have been the best feeling in the world! Lots of love! Chelsie
The picture of you holding him and looking at him is the most beautiful picture I have ever seen! I am so so SOOO happy for you! What a joy to hold him...and he looks pretty content in your arms too! Happy early Mother's Day! Wondeful video, too. Someday, when he's big enough to appreciate it, Garrett is going to be thankful that his mom kept track of his journey!
Janna, I just watched your video and I am so proud of you and your husband! What wonderful, loving and giving parents you are..... God really picked the right family for Garrett... Much love from the Guido family.....
You, Garrett, holding him for the first time, the song, the video...all of it - BEAUTIFUL! Happy Mother's Day to one of the strongest women I have the pleasure to know. Karen (Paul and Jacob too)
I was having trouble holding it together watching that video then I saw you HOLDING Garrett and I completely lost it! I am so, so happy for you to be able to hold him, that had to be so hard. You are such a strong person, continued prayers... Curt & Jen
Al Michaels said it best: "Do you believe in miracles?" Great video, great kid, great mom. All the best to you and I'm sure this will be a very special Mother's Day for you.
I just watched your video for the 4th time. This time no tears... just goose bumps. It is officially Mother's Day. Happy Mother's day to my darling daughter and two very lucky boys' mom.
